New Support Programs for Armenians from Artsakh Discussed
The Social and Material Support Headquarters continues to operate within the Armenian government, coordinating the provision of needs and social support resulting from military operations in Artsakh, as reported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
It was noted that regional administrations have begun purchasing food and hygiene supplies funded by the state budget. The procurements are carried out in accordance with pre-developed food packages.
Also under discussion is the reimbursement of utility expenses for guest houses and hotels provided by the private sector, as well as a mid-term program for providing social support to our compatriots from Artsakh.
All programs continue to be implemented through inter-agency discussions with the participation and support of local and international partners. The projects and planned activities will also be discussed with stakeholders in the near future.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs considers the role of individual volunteers, NGOs, and entrepreneurs actively involved in the social support process to be invaluable and encourages them to continue their efforts by cooperating in a more organized manner with communities and state bodies, ensuring that the needs of our compatriots arriving from Artsakh are addressed effectively and correctly as long as necessary.
