The Solution Involves the Involvement of Multinational Peacekeeping Forces or Observers: Robert O'Brien

During a meeting with the Armenian community in California, U.S. National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien discussed the idea of involving peacekeepers in the conflict zone. According to him, if peacekeepers are involved, they cannot come from the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group or from Turkey.

“The solution involves the involvement of multinational peacekeeping forces or observers. Of course, any peacekeeping mission should not include the co-chair countries of the OSCE Minsk Group, including the U.S. or neighboring countries. Any type of mediation by Turkey in the peacekeeping mission will not be considered by either the U.S. or Armenia. We believe that both sides should accept Scandinavian peacekeepers, and we are working with Scandinavian governments to establish peacekeeping forces that can be deployed in the region to maintain the ceasefire,” O'Brien said during the meeting with the Armenian community.
