Four COVID-19 Cases Reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations; No Staffing Issues, Says Felix Tsolakyan
In 2021, the expenses of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) will increase by 300 million drams. These are essential expenses, noted Minister Felix Tsolakyan during a conversation with reporters at the National Assembly.
"There is no staffing issue in the MES. Fortunately, the number of applicants for the academy has significantly increased this year. Interest in the MES is large, and we will have 300 students this year. However, we are facing technical issues that are not accounted for in the budget," Tsolakyan stated, adding that to date, 91 employees of the MES have contracted COVID-19, and the number is currently decreasing.
“Most cases were imported; we have not seen any internal transmission. We have had 380 individuals self-isolated and 2 deaths so far; at present, we have 4 active cases."
