VIDEO: Protesters Attack Police Bus in Minsk
In the capital of Belarus, Minsk, OMON special forces have searched vehicles parked on Rokossovsky Avenue. This was reported by РИА Новости.
It is noted that the security forces were searching for protesters and dangerous materials. Meanwhile, it is reported that OMON has completed its actions to disperse the protesters on Rokossovsky Avenue and has taken control of the area.
Some protesters hid in their parked vehicles, and OMON is currently searching for them and any dangerous materials. A local resident refused to open his old Soviet car, to which the security forces responded by breaking the car's window.
Another driver, who had brought journalists to the scene and was waiting for them to finish their work, had several canisters of gasoline seized by the authorities, claiming they posed a threat and could be used for arson.
Additionally, the media reports that during the protest action, representatives of the opposition movement attacked a police bus and broke its windows.
Ambulances have also been seen on Rokossovsky Avenue, providing medical assistance to those injured during the ongoing actions.
It should be recalled that residents of Belarus took to the streets after the presidential elections held on August 9, expressing their dissatisfaction with the results, according to which the incumbent president, Alexander Lukashenko, received more than 80 percent of the votes.
