Men in Black Uniforms Attack Journalists in Minsk

A group of men without identifying insignia attacked journalists from the BBC's Russian service in the capital of Belarus, Minsk. This was reported on Tuesday by the media outlet, as stated by TASS.

“A group of men in black uniforms and without identifying marks approached the journalists, one of whom demanded to see their accreditation. Following this, he tore the accreditation card from the correspondent's neck, grabbed the camera, and attempted to break it,” the text mentions.

As reported by the service, the journalists were not taken into custody. “All three journalists were accredited by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry and were wearing identifying vests and badges,” the media outlet added. It was noted that two men also attempted to assault the operator, striking at his camera when they were asked to return the accreditation card.
