Heat to Persist Across Armenia in the Coming Days
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, dry weather is forecasted in the regions on August 9 and 10. The highest temperatures are expected on the first day of the working week, August 10. In the foothill areas of Ararat, Armavir, and Vayots Dzor provinces, temperatures are expected to reach +38°C on that day.
From August 11-13, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas after noon, with wind gusts potentially reaching 20-25 m/s during thunderstorms. Air temperatures will decrease by 3-5 degrees.
Hail is also anticipated in certain locations. In Yerevan, the maximum temperature on August 9 will reach +37°C, gradually decreasing to +29-30°C in the coming days. From August 9-13, dry weather is expected in the capital.
