Human Rights Defender's Rapid Response Teams Deployed to Police Stations
In response to reports of citizens being detained during a protest against the operation of the Amulsar mine in front of the Government, and based on continuous monitoring of social media, the rapid response teams, under the direction of the Human Rights Defender, have been deployed to police stations.
Representatives of the Defender will conduct interviews with the detained individuals, including those detained human rights defenders, and will familiarize themselves with the status of their rights protection and the grounds for their detention.
The Human Rights Defender continues to monitor the events surrounding the operation of the Amulsar mine within the framework of their authority.
