Cyprus Destroys 8.3 Tons of Ammonium Nitrate Seized Five Years Ago
Cyprus has destroyed 8.3 tons of ammonium nitrate that was seized during a special operation in 2015. This was announced by the spokesperson for the country's police, Christos Andreou.
According to TASS, the ammonium nitrate was confiscated to prevent a potential terrorist attack and was destroyed at a specialized facility. The report states that the ammonium nitrate was intended to be used in organizing a terrorist attack on the Israeli Embassy in Nicosia.
