David Babayan Resigns as Press Secretary of the President of Artsakh
Dear compatriots, friends, colleagues,
For 13 years, I have been leading the main department of information of the Office of the President of the Republic of Artsakh, an entity responsible for our country’s information policy. This was announced by David Babayan, the press secretary of the President of Artsakh, in a Facebook post.
He wrote: “The information front, especially for our country, which is under conditions of an unresolved conflict, has strategic importance. It has been an honor for me to lead this entity for all these years, to be one of the front-line soldiers of the information front, serving my people and Homeland. I have tried to perform my duties professionally, always keeping in mind state and national interests.”
Dear friends, I would like to inform you that as of today, I am officially resigning from my current position. I thank all my colleagues and representatives of the media for long-lasting effective cooperation. I also wish success to my successor, Vahram Poghosyan, and hope for his fruitful activity.
P.S. Dear colleagues, I am not leaving the political and social sphere. I have accepted the proposal of the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, and from now on, I will serve my homeland as an advisor to the President of the Republic of Artsakh on foreign relations. Being also the chairman of the Artsakh Conservative Party, my colleagues and I will continue our active activities in our country’s political and social sphere.
P.P.S. I will discuss the summary of my 13 years of work and my future activities in more detail during my live Facebook broadcast.
