Marukyan Proposes Allowing Entrepreneurs to Benefit from Preferential Tax Regime

The leader of the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction, Edmon Marukyan, proposes an amendment to the tax code of the Republic of Armenia, which will allow entrepreneurs to benefit from a preferential tax regime this year.

“Dear citizens, I inform you that at the end of last week, I submitted a letter to the Government of Armenia, proposing a joint legislative initiative. Specifically, the project developed by the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction proposes an amendment to the tax code of the Republic of Armenia, which will allow entrepreneurs to benefit from a preferential tax regime regarding profit tax, its advance payments, and turnover tax this year. This proposal is, of course, related to the situation arising from the COVID-19 pandemic and the state of emergency, where entrepreneurs are facing serious liquidity issues and/or will face them,” Marukyan wrote on his Facebook page, attaching the relevant letter directed to the government.
