Tragic Car Accident in Vayots Dzor Province: Vehicle Crashes into Concrete Barriers, 20-Year-Old Passenger Dies on the Spot
On March 28, a serious and tragic car accident occurred in Vayots Dzor Province. Around 00:20, a 40-year-old resident of Yerevan, Emil Panosyan, lost control of his Peugeot 307 with the license plate H422 EP 97 RUS while driving on the Getap-Martuни road at the 10.3 km mark, veering off the roadway to the right and crashing into concrete barriers.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, a passenger, 20-year-old Erik Safaryan from Vayots Dzor Province, died at the scene. Emergency personnel from the Ministry of Emergency Situations quickly arrived and transported the deceased’s body to an ambulance, while the driver was taken to the ‘Yeghegnadzor’ medical center, where he received appropriate medical attention and was later discharged.
