Drunk Man Stabs 81-Year-Old Woman in Her Home: Crime Solved
On March 4, 2020, at 00:30, a call was received reporting that the body of an 81-year-old woman was found in an apartment in the Mikrashen neighborhood of Hrazdan city, with stab wounds in the chest and back. This was announced by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
A criminal case has been initiated under part 1 of Article 104 (murder) of the Criminal Code regarding the incident. Numerous investigative and procedural actions were conducted, along with operational intelligence measures, resulting in the establishment of various circumstances surrounding the case and the identity of the alleged perpetrator, a 35-year-old resident of Hrazdan city.
According to the factual data gathered during the investigation, on March 3, 2020, around 22:00, the 35-year-old man, under the influence of alcohol, visited the apartment of his acquaintance, the 81-year-old woman. During a dispute, he inflicted multiple stab wounds with a kitchen knife, intentionally taking her life.
The 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering the 81-year-old woman and has given a self-incriminating confession. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, with extensive investigative and procedural actions being conducted to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
