Body of 43-Year-Old Woman Found in Gyumri, 13-Year-Old Daughter Hospitalized in Critical Condition
A tragic incident has occurred in Gyumri, where police have discovered the body of a 43-year-old woman and her 13-year-old daughter in critical condition. A 28-year-old man has been apprehended on suspicion of committing the crime, according to the police's Public Relations Department.
On March 5, at 3:40 PM, the police department in the Mush district received a report from the hospital that a 13-year-old girl was being transferred for treatment due to "traumatic shock and closed head injury" from one of the houses on Proshyan Street.
Upon arrival, the operational group found the body of the girl's mother, Marine Kh., 43, showing signs of violence. Through immediate operational and investigative measures, the Gyumri police managed to ascertain several circumstances surrounding the incident. As a result, a 28-year-old man suspected of having committed the crime was apprehended and presented to the investigative authority. The investigation is ongoing.
According to Tsayg.am, there were signs of violence on the girl, who was transported to the hospital in critical condition. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 112 of the Armenian Criminal Code, which concerns causing serious harm to health intentionally against two or more individuals, resulting in the victim's death through negligence.
