Mercedes Found on Nor Hachn Bridge, Body of 33-Year-Old Owner Discovered Below
A tragic incident occurred in the Kotayk region on March 3. At approximately 03:25, the emergency services Emergency Management Center received a call reporting a vehicle on the Nor Hachn bridge with its doors left open. A similar report was also received by the Kotayk division of the police. This was reported by shamshyan.com.
Fire and rescue units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene, along with a search dog unit. Medical personnel from the Nor Hachn 1-03 service also arrived promptly.
Sevan Kocharyan, head of the Kotayk regional police department, and Andranik Meloyan, head of the Kotayk police division, were also present at the scene. Police discovered the Mercedes vehicle on the bridge, and following over an hour of search efforts, rescuers found the body of 33-year-old Sedrak A., a resident of Yerevan, beneath the bridge.
The rescuers brought the body to the ambulance of the Bjureghavan emergency crew that had arrived on site. A team from the Kotayk regional investigative department, led by senior investigator Z. Margaryan, was also working at the scene. Investigators are preparing materials regarding the case.
According to sources, the vehicle belonged to the deceased, who had participated in a gathering with friends prior to the incident. He had informed his friends that he would step out for an hour and would return, but when he did not come back, his friends became worried and initiated search efforts, ultimately calling the 9-11 emergency service.
