New Petition to Detain the Head of the Bavra Customs Shift Granted
The lawyer of David Hakobjanian, the head of the Bavra customs shift, Gor Mikayelyan, has posted on his Facebook page: "Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan made another order on command, detaining the head of the Bavra customs shift, whose detention petition had just hours earlier been rejected by another judge. Furthermore, the petition was based on the same grounds and arguments, without any new circumstances. The irony is that, not being able to refute any of the arguments I presented, Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan simply stated in his decision that the court does not address this issue. Otherwise, he could not have failed to note that the investigator had no right to present that petition. Postscript: Now I am waiting for the prosecuting body to submit yet another petition, adhering to their procedural code, just in case the appellate court suddenly lifts the detention, as there will simply be no chance of the opposite happening, and they will have another detention decision,” the lawyer noted.
Previously, it was reported that the petition to detain the head of the customs shift was rejected.
