Fire in a Residential Apartment on Arshakunyats Avenue: One Victim

On January 31 at 04:06 AM, the 911 emergency call center received a report of a fire that broke out in one of the apartments on the second floor of building 135 on Arshakunyats Avenue in Yerevan. Two firefighting units from the Yerevan city rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene.

The fire was contained at 04:22 AM and extinguished by 04:49 AM. The balcony, covering an area of 12 square meters, was completely burned along with its contents, while the suspended ceiling of the bathroom (approximately 5 square meters) and some items in the kitchen were partially damaged by heat. On the balcony, the charred body of Vladimir M. (born in 1932) was discovered.
