Investigative Committee Provides Details on Deceased Soldier Incident

The Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the RA Investigative Committee, Naira Harutyunyan, stated on her Facebook page that on January 30, 2020, around 13:15, a conscript of the N military unit, Private Vahram Mkrtich Avagyan, opened fire from his AKM type rifle in the area of his chest. He was subsequently transported to a military hospital with gunshot wounds, where his biological death was recorded at 14:00.

A criminal case has been initiated under the first part of Article 110 of the RA Criminal Code at the primary garrison investigative department, and an investigation is ongoing.
