The Caretaker of Vanadzor's Botanical Garden Illegally Cut Down Trees
On January 27, at around 5:30 PM, officers from the Gugark police department's special forces were on duty in a forest area adjacent to the Vanadzor Botanical Garden to prevent environmental crimes. During their patrol, they noticed two individuals near fallen trees.
The individuals were invited for questioning at the police station, where it was revealed that they were the garden's caretakers, and one of them had illegally cut down standing trees using a chainsaw.
Investigations are underway.
