This Year, 453 Homeless Families Issues Will Be Resolved, Says Nikol Pashinyan
"In order to fully meet the government’s obligations to families left homeless from the earthquake since 1989, funding from the state budget has increased sixfold in 2020, with a planned allocation of 3 billion drams. This year, the issues of 453 homeless families will be resolved. Previously, an average of 40-45 families affected by the disaster were provided with housing each year, which means this volume will increase tenfold. The housing problems of 227 families in the disaster zone will be addressed through the issuance of housing purchase certificates, for which the government allocated 1.3 billion drams in 2019. This is, by the way, funded by additional, generated resources from the budget," stated Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan while listing 100 facts about Armenia.
