No Evidence Indicating Intentional Gunfire, Says Gor Abrahamyan
The advisor to the Armenian Prosecutor General on media relations, Gor Abrahamyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "Regarding the discovery of a bullet fired between the double-glazed windows of Judge Tatevik Grigoryan's office at the Yerevan City Court, a criminal case has been initiated based on the judge's report, under Article 235, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
To avoid unnecessary speculations, I find it necessary to note that an examination of the crime scene revealed that despite the outer layer of the double-glazed window having been broken, which was discovered by Judge Tatevik Grigoryan on January 8—during the first working day of this year—after entering her office, the inner layer of the glass remained intact. It was only on January 21, after the discovery of the bullet between the two panes of glass, that Judge Grigoryan reported to the police. This indicates that during the preparatory phase of the materials, no evidence suggesting an intentional shooting for certain purposes has been obtained, especially since the incident likely occurred during the holiday weekend.
Despite these circumstances, as well as the fact that the criminal case has been opened on charges of illicit acquisition, sale, storage, transportation, or possession of weapons and military ammunition, appropriate measures will be taken during the preliminary investigation to clarify all aspects of the incident."
Earlier, we reported that shots had been fired at the judge's office window.
