The Purpose of This Inquiry Commission is Broader Than You Think, Says Samsonyan

In the National Assembly, Ani Samsonyan, a member of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction, presented the scope of the inquiry commission's investigation in response to questions from fellow lawmakers, also discussing its goals.

According to her, the commission will examine the list of donations and the causal links between the decisions made regarding the services received from donors. The commission will also focus on the study of transactions that require special attention, their risks, and their impact on the business and investment environment, as well as their effects on the Yerevan City Hall and the council institution.

Moreover, if necessary, there will be developments of procedures and legal regulations aimed at eliminating discretionary approaches and the risks associated with such transactions. "This means that the purpose of this inquiry commission is broader than you think. The goal is to provide us with the toolbox to investigate the unexamined areas and to prevent risks," the parliamentarian noted.
