Hearing Begins in the Case of Robert Kocharyan and Others

The hearing in the case of Armenia's second President Robert Kocharyan and others is currently underway at the Shengavit court of general jurisdiction in Yerevan.

During the session, the former president's lawyers intend to submit a motion regarding the recusal of Judge Anna Danibekyan. It is worth noting that the previous hearing did not take place due to the absence of Yuri Khachaturov's lawyer, Mihran Poghosyan.

The absence was caused by statements made by the representative of the aggrieved party towards the lawyers and defendants. One of the representatives of the aggrieved party stated during their speech, "Express respect regarding March 1, otherwise you will find yourselves..." The second part of the statement was not heard. The lawyers interpreted it as a threat, while the judge did not agree with that interpretation.
