Court to Announce Decision on Kostanyan's Bail on December 30

The Court of Appeal will announce its decision regarding former Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan's bail on December 30. This was reported to NEWS.am by Kostanyan's attorney Gevorg Gevorgyan.

It should be noted that the defense has appealed the decision of the First Instance Court to detain Kostanyan.

Recall that on September 25, the Special Investigation Service released a statement regarding charges against former Police Chief Alik Sargsyan, which also mentioned the names of Kostanyan and former Deputy Police Chief Gevorg Mheryan.

Gevorg Kostanyan has been implicated as a defendant in the criminal case under several articles of the RA Criminal Code, including misuse of official position leading to severe consequences, incitement to official forgery, incitement to conceal severe or particularly severe crimes, and incitement to falsification of evidence in a criminal case regarding severe or particularly severe crimes.
