Marutyan Ceased to be Director of 'Two and a Half' LLC Three Days Before Taking Office as Mayor: Spokesperson

The spokesperson for the Yerevan City Hall, Hakob Karapetyan, made a post on his Facebook page responding to the proceedings initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee.

“On December 5, the same day an article titled 'Hayk Marutyan Violated the Law for About a Year' was published in the 'Zhoghavor' newspaper, we issued a demand for a retraction, bringing to light the fact that the newspaper had spread misinformation and defamation. Today, it has become known that the Anti-Corruption Committee has initiated proceedings to verify the information in the 'Zhoghavor' article.

Without attempting to predetermine the committee's decision, I will once again post the signed documents, which show that Hayk Marutyan ceased to be the director of 'Two and a Half' LLC on October 10, 2018, just three days before taking office as mayor. Our colleagues from the 'Zhoghavor' could also have obtained the same information electronically by paying 3,000 drams and retrieving the documents from the State Registry's electronic site.”
