Investigation into Ara Babloyan and Arsen Babayan Concluded

The Special Investigation Service has announced the conclusion of the investigation into the former Speaker of the National Assembly, Ara Babloyan, and the former Deputy Head of the National Assembly Staff, Arsen Babayan. This information was provided by the public relations department of the Armenian Prosecutor General's Office.

The legality of the investigation was examined by a prosecutor overseeing the proceedings, who analyzed the criminal case reviewed by the Special Investigation Service and the prosecution's indictment submitted to the Prosecutor General's Office. A decision was made to not confirm the indictment and to return the criminal case for further investigation.

The decision included instructions on various circumstances that are subject to additional investigation, considering that the results are necessary for accurately assessing the criminal legal nature of the actions of A. Babloyan and A. Babayan.
