2019 State Budget Surplus Achieved, Says Nikol Pashinyan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made the following post on his Facebook page:
“As of yesterday, December 23, the 2019 state budget has been exceeded by 89 billion drams (185 million dollars). This means we have collected this much more in tax revenue compared to the projections of the 2019 budget.
From the amount collected, as of the same date, 40 billion drams have been spent to clear overdue VAT debts, meaning that debts accumulated against economic operators have been settled. This year, a total of 150 billion drams have been returned to the economy in terms of VAT.
Regarding the surplus of the state budget, there is no doubt that by the end of the year it will be significantly larger.”
