VIDEO: Putin Opens Passenger Transport via Railway Section of Crimean Bridge
Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the ceremonial opening of the railway section of the Crimean Bridge, as reported by TASS. It was noted that Putin traveled by train from Kerch to the Taman Peninsula, thus initiating passenger transport along this railway line.
The Russian president spent some time in the driver's cabin before moving on to one of the train cars, where he interacted with workers involved in the bridge's construction.
The Crimean Bridge is the longest bridge in Russia and Europe. It connects the Crimean Peninsula with the Krasnodar Krai region. The operation of the bridge's automobile section commenced in May 2018.
