Meghri to be Gasified: Suren Papikyan
The government emphasizes the utilization of subsoil resources in Armenia while strictly adhering to high environmental standards. The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure has revoked 21 licenses for subsoil use in the last six months of 2019.
During a meeting with journalists, Papikyan addressed the gasification of Meghri and the discomforts arising in communities after ensuring access to drinking water.
“We are ready to allocate funds for the gasification of Meghri. The project has been implemented by the community and an entity providing certain financing. The government has expressed its willingness, and we will transfer those funds by the end of the year; Meghri will be gasified. It's just that it is not physically possible to do everything at once,” he stated.
