Supreme Court Decides to Halt Criminal Prosecution Against Zhirayr Seifikian
The Supreme Court has decided to halt the criminal prosecution against Zhirayr Seifikian, taking into account the amnesty applied in 2018. According to Armenpress, the Supreme Court also stopped the criminal prosecution against civil activist Gevorg Safaryan.
According to a statement released by the Investigative Committee in 2016, Seifikian, along with a group of individuals, had planned to seize buildings, structures, and means of communication and transportation through armed groups, including the Yerevan TV Tower.
