Authorities Are Keeping My Father in Custody at All Costs: Levon Kocharyan

The video released by the police is highly suspicious, said Levon Kocharyan, son of the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, in a conversation with reporters. This was in response to the police's claim that supporters of the second president offered money to witnesses to retract their testimonies.

“I see two possible scenarios here. The first is that not all supporters are being monitored, and perhaps this individual was sent for a specific purpose to record this to manipulate the situation. The second option, which is a bit worse and I don’t want to think about, is that the appearance of this person was somehow arranged from the start. We can’t exclude anything, given the authorities' operational methods. We have no intention of obstructing anything, nor is there any testimony in the case that we would want to alter,” he stated, adding that the video was deliberately released yesterday in an attempt to impact today’s court ruling.

It is worth noting that the Court of Appeals today rejected the appeal regarding the preventive measure for the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan.
