New Kindergarten Building Under Construction in Verin Ptghni Community
The Kotayk Regional Administration's press service reports that Romanos Petrosyan attended the launch ceremony for the construction of a kindergarten building in Verin Ptghni community. The event commenced with a blessing of the building.
For several decades, there has been no functioning kindergarten in the Verin Ptghni community, which has around 1,000 residents, forcing local children to attend kindergartens in Abovyan.
Preschool education institutions in the Kotayk communities are among the priorities declared by the regional authorities, which has led to the submission of a subsidy application to the government.
According to the regional administration, this community will finally have a modernly designed kindergarten with two groups accommodating approximately 60 children, thanks to the works carried out under the government’s 2019 subsidy program.
The cost of the project is 74,904,000 drams, with construction funded through a 50% co-financing scheme between the state and the community.
This year, ten projects for the renovation, reconstruction, and construction of kindergartens are being implemented in Kotayk as part of subsidy programs. New kindergartens are being built from scratch in three communities: Aramus, Verin Ptghni, and Geghashen.
