Wolf Packs Surround Azerbaijani Gas Storage Facility in Turkey
In a remarkable incident in Ardahan province of eastern Turkey, bordering Armenia, wolf packs have surrounded a gas storage facility. The facility, located in the Damal village of Ardahan, is part of the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) that transports natural gas from Azerbaijan to Turkey and Europe, as reported by ermenihaber.
In the area, often referred to as Turkey's 'Siberia', the wolves are likely trying to address issues of warming and feeding. Residents living near the gas storage facility are terrified, noting that it's the first time they have heard howls and seen such large packs of wolves so close to their homes.
