Video: We Must Understand How the Technical Modification of Right-Hand Drive Vehicles is Implemented - Mher Grigoryan
We must understand how the technical modification of right-hand drive vehicles is implemented and how it should be done to ensure safety. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan stated this during a press conference on December 9.
“There is some concern regarding this issue because, after all, a technical operation is being carried out on a vehicle, which inherently carries risks if this modification is not done by a specialized organization or person. In that sense, it poses a public danger. For this reason, we made an exception and provided a timeframe for this operation to be possible in Armenia as well, rather than abroad. However, at the same time, there remains an issue on the agenda, which we need to work on to understand how this technical modification is to be carried out and how it should be executed safely,” he emphasized.
It should be noted that the government has decided to allow the import of right-hand drive cars into Armenia. However, these vehicles can only be operated after the steering wheel has been changed.
