Judge Mkhitar Papoyan Resigns from Case
The Court of Appeal has published a ruling regarding the prosecutor's motion for Judge Mkhitar Papoyan to recuse himself from the case. The court granted the motion.
According to prosecutor Gevorg Baghdasaryan, Judge Papoyan cannot demonstrate an impartial and unbiased demeanor due to external factors that may raise doubts about the trustworthiness of the decisions made by Papoyan.
It is important to remember that the Court of Appeal, chaired by Papoyan, was set to examine the defense's appeal against the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction's decision not to release Robert Kocharyan from custody on bail.
