Parliament Approves 2020 Budget Proposal, Expenditure Decreased

The National Assembly has approved the budget proposal for 2020. According to the project, the total revenues for the coming year will decrease by 2.6 billion drams due to changes in other revenues, resulting in a total of 1 trillion 695 billion drams, while tax revenues are projected to amount to 1 trillion 602 billion drams.

In light of exchange rate fluctuations, the level of official grants has been revised, and it is expected to be around 35.3 billion drams, while other revenues are projected to be 57.4 billion drams.

Budget expenditures have decreased by 24.5 billion drams and will total approximately 1 trillion 855.7 billion drams, with current expenditures allocated 1 trillion 568 billion drams and capital expenditures 288 billion drams. The deficit is projected to amount to 42.5 billion drams.
