Is the 'Opportunity for Celebration' Only Given to the Center? Ani Khachatryan to the Mayor

Today, an extraordinary session of Yerevan's Council is taking place. Ani Khachatryan, a member of the "Lus" faction, addressed the mayor to clarify the validity of information found in one of the press releases.

"There is information that 5 million 199 thousand drams are being allocated to the directors of organizations under the leadership of the Central administrative district for hospitality purposes," said Khachatryan, inquiring whether other administrative districts are included, or if this opportunity is only granted to the Center.

In response, the mayor stated that this question has no relation to the agenda, and suggested that it be directed to the head of the Central administrative district at the next council meeting.

Also, BBP faction council member Hripsime Arakelyan inquired about the fee for Goran Bregovic to perform on New Year's Eve and how it was decided that he should sing, noting that, according to her, Bregovic is not well-known in Armenia.

Yerevan's Deputy Mayor Hayk Sargsyan mentioned that he is unaware of how the selection was made: "A company is organizing the concert, and I am also not informed about the fee."
