Court Rejects Yuri Khachaturyan's Defense Motion
During the court session on December 3 regarding the case of Robert Kocharyan and others, Yuri Khachaturyan's defense attorney, Mihran Poghosyan, requested to lift the restrictions on Khachaturyan's right to free movement and to obligate the Armenian police to remove the restriction on border crossings.
One of the victims' representatives, Seda Safaryan, objected to this request, urging the court not to consider it. She argued that it was an attempt to delay the trial.
In response, Robert Kocharyan's attorney, Aram Orbelian, requested the court to intervene against those who claim that they are delaying the trial.
Anna Danibekyan, after hearing the objections from both sides, deemed the motion irrelevant. Regarding the obligation for the police to lift the restriction, Danibekyan stated that the court is authorized to perform actions that it is empowered to do by the Constitution. The court rejected the motion.
