A Person in Such a Position Should Not Engage in Politics: Levon Kocharian on Gagik Jhangiryan
Levon Kocharian, son of Robert Kocharian, on December 3, denied rumors that he and his brother have intentions to establish a political party during a conversation with journalists.
In response to a question about how he interprets the fact that former military prosecutor Gagik Jhangiryan is contesting two decrees from R. Kocharian, Levon Kocharian stated, "He is trying, let him do it; I don’t know how to relate to it. As far as I understand, a person in such a position should not engage in politics."
It is noteworthy that Gagik Jhangiryan has filed a lawsuit against the former president in the Administrative Court. He demands the annulment of the decrees relieving him of the deputy attorney general position and stripping him of the class rank of first-class state adviser.
