Azerbaijan's Parliament is Being Dissolved
During an extraordinary meeting of the ruling "Yeniy Azerbaijan" party's Political Council today, a decision was made to dissolve the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan, as reported by Minval.az.
This decision is justified by the claim that the "current parliament inadequately responds to the policies pursued by the country's leadership and is lagging behind the reforms taking place in the country."
It was reported that the ruling party's majority will present this issue on the agenda during the Milli Mejlis session tomorrow. A relevant request will be made to the country's president concerning the holding of snap elections.
