Fact: Expired Meat Products are Returned, Mixed with New Ones, and Resold
The "Fact" newspaper reports that it has been receiving regular complaints from citizens about several meat production companies that take back expired products from stores, mix them with newly produced meat products, and put them back on sale.
This alarming report raises significant concerns. "Fact" will send inquiries to the producers and then to the retail outlets. Following that, conversations will be held with industry experts. This time, we reached out to the "Bari Samaratsi" company.
This organization categorically denied any wrongdoing on their part: "It is easy to verify and confirm with any supermarket or store that ‘Bari Samaratsi’ does not accept returns. The so-called returnable products are simply disposed of at the stores. ‘Bari Samaratsi’ is responsible for the quality of its products from production to sale."
More details can be found in today’s issue of the newspaper.
