The staff of the Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) have uncovered significant tax violations in a company engaged in inter-regional and intra-regional regular passenger transport.

Based on operational information, measures were taken to examine the service delivery records, and the company’s drivers were also questioned. After cross-referencing the obtained data with the SRC's information database, it was revealed that the company underreported its sales turnover by approximately 4.3 billion drams during the years 2025-2026. As a result, around 1.1 billion drams in tax liabilities were neither calculated nor paid into the state budget.

A report regarding the apparent crime has been submitted to the Investigative Committee, where criminal proceedings have been initiated. The SRC urges tax-paying passenger transporters to declare the actual volumes of their turnover and to maintain accounting records in accordance with legal requirements.

Notice: The person accused of the alleged crime is considered innocent until proven guilty by a legally binding court decision.
