Government Allocates Funds for Wheelchairs and Hearing Devices

The government has allocated 19 million drams for the purchase of wheelchairs and hearing devices for persons with disabilities. This decision was made at today’s session.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, more beneficiaries have applied for prosthetic-orthopedic and rehabilitation equipment, as well as other technical aids, in the first eight months of the year than initially planned. Because of this, the allocated quantity has been depleted.

The Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction regarding this issue, noting that it signifies that the service has become more accessible and that the quality has also improved.
