Vayots Dzor Governor Terdat Sargsyan Dismissed from Position by Government Decision
Vayots Dzor Governor Terdat Sargsyan has been dismissed from his post. The corresponding decision is on the agenda of the Government meeting among unresolved issues: “Guided by the second part of Article 160 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, the Government of the Republic of Armenia decides to dismiss Terdat Sargsyan from the position of Governor of Vayots Dzor.”
It is noteworthy that Vayots Dzor Governor Terdat Sargsyan was involved in an incident where a Deputy Colonel from the Ministry of Defense was assaulted, leading to the arrest of his assistant. Subsequently, the Prosecutor's Office announced that an investigation is ongoing regarding his possible involvement.
Recall that an incident occurred on the night of September 18 in Yeghgnadzor involving military personnel and regional administration employees, during which Deputy Colonel Ara Mkhitaryan suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized. He has recently emerged from a coma.
