Details of the Secret Meeting with Nikol Pashinyan

The newspaper «Zhoghovurd» reports: The Prime Minister of Armenia had a closed-door secret meeting with the My Step faction, lasting three hours. Although it was officially announced that discussions revolved around Amulsar, structural changes in the Armenian police, the EAEU summit, internal political issues, and the future of the President of the Constitutional Court, several details from the closed meeting have been revealed to «Zhoghovurd». It has come to our attention that there were many who wanted to ask the Prime Minister questions, which is why the two-hour meeting lasted more than three hours.

Pashinyan stated that processes regarding Amulsar will occur in the near future, and the deputies need to study the issue deeply, unify, and present a united viewpoint. It was mentioned that the police system in Armenia needs a complete overhaul, establishing a municipal police force, and distributing responsibilities to ensure that the entire system does not remain concentrated in the hands of the police chief. In this regard, the National Assembly’s committee on legal affairs will work in conjunction with the Ministry of Justice. Regarding Hrayr Tovmasyan, there have been opinions that he may soon resign.
