Strong Winds Cause Trees to Fall and Damage Cars in Yerevan
On September 28, strong winds caused part of a tree to break off and fall onto two parked Mercedes cars and a BMW X5 on the permissible area of the road in front of building 86 on Arami Street, in the Central administrative district, reports Shamshyan.com.
According to preliminary information, fortunately, there are no reported injuries. Emergency responders from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Rescue Service 17th Fire and Rescue Squad arrived promptly at the scene, as well as representatives from the green maintenance company of the Central administrative district.
The rescuers used a chainsaw to cut up the fallen tree on the cars, while the landscaping staff removed certain dangerous branches with the help of an aerial crane.
