Editors Refuse to Reveal Information Source
Naira Harutyunyan, the head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the RA Investigative Committee, made a post on her Facebook page, announcing that a letter had been sent to the editorial offices of Hayeli.am and Armlur.am websites regarding the recent comments of former Minister of Internal Affairs Hayk Harutyunyan, who stated, "I am being forced to give false testimony, after all, Robert Kocharyan and Gegham Petrosyan are not guilty," just before his suicide. The letter requests the authors of articles titled “Hayk Harutyunyan was not alone at the time of the incident; his last words are known” to be questioned about clarifying circumstances of the case.
In a conversation with 168.am, Knar Manukyan, the chief editor of armlur.am, stated that she received a notification at 18:55 for questioning as a witness at the Investigative Committee tomorrow. The notification was received in person from the investigator.
“Tomorrow morning, I will participate in the questioning concerning this case; however, I will not reveal my source,” said Knar Manukyan.
Angela Tovmasyan, the editor of Hayeli.am, also confirmed that she has received a notification and is not planning to disclose the information source.
