Construction of Cement Plant in Kapan to Be Halted by Multi Group

The Board of Directors of the Multi Group Concern has decided to suspend the construction processes of a cement plant in the Kapan community. This information was announced in a statement released by the Board of Directors of Multi Group.

The announcement states, in particular: "Dear compatriots, as you are aware, Araratcement LLC planned to build a cement grinding plant in the Kapan community. According to legal procedures, public hearings should have been organized in the community; however, the holding of these hearings has been obstructed for about two years by local civic organizations and residents. The Board of Directors of Multi Group Concern, considering the viewpoint frequently expressed by the owner of Multi Group, Gagik Tsarukyan, that in any matter, the desires of the people must be taken into account, has decided to suspend the construction processes of the cement plant in the Kapan community."
