51 Inmates Declare Hunger Strike in Armavir Prison
The discontent of some inmates in the Armavir penitentiary has been heightened due to internal reallocations, which has been resolved in accordance with legal procedures. This information comes from the Public Relations Department of the Armenian Ministry of Justice’s Penitentiary Service.
“Currently, there are no inmates on hunger strike in connection with the aforementioned issue,” the Public Relations Department states.
It should be noted that several media outlets reported that 51 inmates at the Armavir penitentiary had declared a hunger strike.
