Candlelight Vigil at Yerablur Military Pantheon
Moments ago, members of the 'Victorious' Pan-Armenian youth initiative held a candlelight vigil at the Yerablur military pantheon to commemorate the anniversary of Armenia's independence. They honored the memory of the fallen heroes with banners reading 'Victorious Artsakh' and 'Victorious Armenia' and lit candles to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Armenia. The spokesperson for the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, shared photos from the event on his Facebook page.
The youth kicked off their independence marathon in Stepanakert on September 2, reaching around 30 cities in Armenia and Artsakh before concluding in Yerevan at Yerablur.
This year, the main event dedicated to the 28th anniversary of Armenia's independence will take place in Gyumri. The festivities will start at 11:00 AM and continue until 11:00 PM. The day's program includes various events such as a musical program, public discussions, exhibitions, film screenings, and a gala concert at Vardanants Square at 7:00 PM featuring well-known Armenian and international singers and musicians. There will also be a hot air balloon festival.
