Football Club Named After Yerevan Emerges in Azerbaijan
A new football club has emerged in the third division of the Azerbaijani football league, carrying the name of Armenia's capital city. This has been reported by local media.
During the 2019-2020 season, the club will compete in the "Regional League." The club is named "Irevan," which is the distorted Azerbaijani version of Yerevan. The team will conduct its training at one of the stadiums located near Baku.
Currently, there is also a football club in Azerbaijan known as "Karabakh."
